Atiku Warns Tinubu Government to Protect El-Rufai

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, has issued a warning to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government regarding the safety of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Abubakar's statement comes in light of claims that El-Rufai is facing difficulties while in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Muyiwa Adelek, a member of El-Rufai's legal team, stated that the former governor has not received meals directly from his wife since February 17 and that the legal team has not been shown a remand order authorizing continued detention beyond 48 hours without charges. Abubakar emphasized that if anything were to happen to El-Rufai, the Tinubu administration would be held accountable.
