Aisha Yesufu Stays Committed to Activism Ahead of 2027

Aisha Yesufu, a prominent Nigerian activist and co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, expressed her determination to remain active in advocacy while preparing for the 2027 elections. In a Thursday interview with Channels Television, Yesufu stated that her years of activism have led her to realize that merely pointing out problems is insufficient.

She emphasized that her ultimate goal is to serve the greater good, even if it requires pursuing political office. Yesufu pointed out that political influence is essential for implementing solutions to issues that activists have long highlighted.

She mentioned the influence of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, and asserted her independence in political choices, noting that Abuja voters have consistently demonstrated independence during elections.
