Lopez's warning came after Argentina's quarter-final match against Switzerland, where they secured a 1-0 victory.

The match saw Argentina take an early lead with a goal from Alexi Mac Allister within the first ten minutes. Despite Switzerland's Breel Embolo receiving a red card five minutes later, the match went into extra time.
