Igboho Issues Ultimatum to Fulani Leaders Over Kidnappings

On Saturday, activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, issued a two-hour ultimatum to Fulani leaders in Oorelope Local Government Area, Oyo State, demanding the release of abducted individuals. This ultimatum followed the viral circulation of a video showing the distress of the victims.

Igboho claimed that the Fulani community was responsible for a series of kidnappings in the area, including the abduction of a pregnant woman and her sister. He warned that failure to release the victims within the stipulated time would lead to unrest.

Igboho also alleged that kidnappers were demanding a ransom of N300 million, which he urged the Fulani leaders to reduce to N150 million to facilitate the victims' freedom. The Oyo State Police Command has begun an investigation into the threats made by Igboho, with the Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlola, confirming that they are reviewing the viral video as part of their inquiry.
