IGP Egbetokun Issues Fresh Border Security Directives

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Egbetokun met with Border Patrol Commanders, issuing fresh directives to enhance border security in Nigeria. During the conference at Force Headquarters in Abuja, the IGP highlighted the complex nature of Nigeria's borders and emphasized the need for innovative strategies to combat crimes.

He stressed the importance of technology, community policing, and collaboration with sister agencies. The IGP also acknowledged the sacrifices of officers and assured their welfare is a priority.

Commanders were tasked to be proactive in preventing criminal activities along the borders, ensuring the safety and security of the nation.
