Intelligence gathering bedrock of effective policing — IGP Egbetokun

IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun emphasized the importance of intelligence gathering in effective policing in the 21st century. He highlighted the commitment of the Force leadership to leverage technology, innovation, and expertise, both local and foreign, to stay ahead of emerging security threats.

During an inspection of intelligence installations in Idu Community, Abuja, the IGP underscored the significance of bolstering policing as a vital component of internal security management. The visit was part of strategic engagement with indigenous security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a homegrown security solution provider, to enhance national security through collaboration.

The partnership aims to strengthen the Force's operational capability, deepen community trust, and improve intelligence gathering for a more effective internal and national security architecture. The IGP commended the expertise of EIB STRATOC and called for Nigerians to collaborate with the Nigeria Police as a security agency.

The inspection was attended by top police officers, including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo.
