IGP Seeks Robust Collaboration With Traditional Rulers

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) seeks a strong partnership with traditional rulers, as revealed by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, DIG Leye Oyebade Egbetokun. He disclosed this during a meeting with a delegation of traditional rulers led by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on August 13.

The meeting was also attended by other traditional rulers and key stakeholders. Egbetokun assured the traditional rulers of a collaborative effort between the Police Force and traditional institutions to promote inclusivity at the grassroots level for sustainable peace and development.

Additionally, Egbetokun held a meeting with the Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Poland, Michal Cygan, to discuss an integrated communication platform aimed at boosting ICT compliance within the Police Force. This initiative is part of the IGP's efforts to enhance the Force's capabilities in combating crime and ensuring.
