Iheanacho Leads Bursaspor with 16 Goals in Turkish League
Kelechi Iheanacho scored his 16th goal in 12 matches for Bursaspor in the Turkish second division, contributing to a 4-2 victory against Keciorengucu on October 25, 2026. This performance has helped Bursaspor climb to the top of the league with 28 points and is crucial for their promotion aspirations to the Turkish Super Lig.
Iheanacho's scoring form may also enhance his chances of being selected for the Super Eagles' upcoming AFCON double-header against Tanzania. In Greece, Cyriel Dessers scored for Panathinaikos in a 1-0 win over Volos, marking his fourth consecutive game with a goal.
Dessers is aiming for a recall to the Super Eagles after missing the 2025 AFCON due to injury. Meanwhile, Tolu Arokodare scored for Ajax in their 2-1 victory over Sparta Rotterdam, bringing his total to five league goals this season.
His performance may solidify his position for a permanent transfer at season's end and improve his chances for national team selection.
