IHS Nigeria Digitizes 200 Artifacts to Enhance Culture

IHS Nigeria has digitized over 200 Nigerian artifacts as part of its initiative to boost the creative economy and preserve the country's cultural heritage. The project aims to renovate the entire National Museum in Lagos and is a collaboration with the Federal Government.

Dapo Otunla, Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Services Officer at IHS Nigeria, stated that the partnership is part of a sustainable project involving 160 communities across Nigeria. The digitization of these artifacts will create a gallery that reflects the nation's history and culture, highlighting the importance of sustainability in preserving valuable cultural objects.

Olugbil Hollowai, Director General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments Nigeria, commended IHS Nigeria for its commitment to investing in the National Museum, which has not undergone extensive renovations in the last two decades.
