IHS Nigeria Completes 15,000 km Fiber Rollout for Connectivity

IHS Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to enhancing connectivity in Nigeria through a significant 15,000 km fiber rollout project, which was completed recently. Mr.

Akeem Adeshina, Chief Commercial Officer of IHS Nigeria, made this announcement during the Ilorin Innovation Hub Demo Day in Kwara State. The fiber rollout, which began five years ago, aims to improve internet connectivity in both urban and rural areas, providing reliable high-speed internet access.

This initiative is distinct from the federal government's 9,000 km fiber project and is designed to bridge the connectivity gap for tech startups across the country. Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of IHS Nigeria, Kazeem Oladepo, emphasized that the rollout will significantly impact the activities of tech startups, which require fast internet speeds to develop and scale solutions addressing specific challenges.
