Ikoyi Club 1938 Hosts Successful Captain's Golf Tournament

The Ikoyi Club 1938 launched its 2026 competitive calendar with a captain's golf tournament held last weekend, which brought together members and guests to compete on the club's course in Ikoyi, Lagos. This event marked the first major golf competition under the new leadership of the golf section.

The overall winner of the tournament walked away with N200,000, while the top performers received cash prizes of N100,000 and N50,000, respectively. The prize-giving ceremony was rounded off with goodie bags from sponsors.

Bolaji Martin, the vice chairman of Ikoyi Club 1938, described the event as a success and emphasized the club's strategic transformation to modernize its facilities while preserving its heritage. Afolabi Balogun, the captain of the golf section, expressed his vision to enhance the golfing experience and maintain course quality, aiming to expand the tournament calendar and strengthen the golf community within Lagos.
