Ikeja Golf Club Celebrates Winners at Inaugural Kitty

At the inaugural kitty event held at Ikeja Golf Club on Thursday evening, Babatunde Ojo emerged as the overall winner of the tournament, receiving a trophy and a bedside refrigerator. Bidemi Babatunde Ojo finished as the runner-up, earning a trophy and a rechargeable solar stand fan, while Moje Aberugba claimed the second runner-up position and received a golf bag along with a cash voucher.

Nike Saliu and Idowu Akinyemi placed fourth and fifth, respectively, both taking home cash vouchers. In the ladies' category, Uch Ubakanma was declared the winner.

The new captain of the club, Segun Odunuga, spoke during the inauguration, unveiling ambitious plans aimed at improving the club's facilities and overall golf experience. He emphasized the intention to make the course playable year-round, despite seasonal challenges, and announced plans to install solar power to reduce energy costs.

The club is set to host several inter-club tournaments, including events with clubs from Ghana, Port Harcourt, Abeokuta, and Ibadan.
