Ikoyi Club to Host Zenith Bank Swimming Competition

The Ikoyi Club is set to host the Zenith Bank Inter-School swimming competition on May 23, 2026. This event aims to provide a vibrant platform for young talents to showcase their swimming skills.

The competition is expected to feature participation from no fewer than 20 schools, promising a thrilling atmosphere and outstanding performances. Competitors will engage in various swimming strokes, including freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, and individual medley races, with distances tailored to different age categories to ensure inclusivity.

Akinbulejo Onabolu, the chairman of the swimming section at Ikoyi Club, expressed delight at the level of interest, noting that registration for the competition has already recorded significant numbers. This initiative is part of a flagship development program aimed at discovering and nurturing young swimming talent across Nigeria, made possible through the steadfast partnership and support of Zenith Bank.
