Ilechukwu Credits Eric Chelle for Rangers' Title Chase

Ilechukwu, the coach of Enugu Rangers, credits the recent influence of Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle as a major factor in the club's resurgence in the Nigeria Premier Football League title race. Speaking ahead of the match against El Kanemi Warriors, Ilechukwu highlighted how his experience gained at the international level has significantly influenced his approach, particularly in terms of discipline and overall team structure.

He noted that Chelle's intense training sessions, which are 80 percent heavier, have translated into improved performances at the club level. Currently, Rangers sit second in the league with 50 points, just behind leaders River United, having lost only once in 11 matches, with six wins, four draws, and seven clean sheets.

Despite their strong position, Ilechukwu emphasized that the team will not succumb to the pressure of the title race, maintaining a focus on a game-by-game approach. He aims to secure a second league crown in three years for the Enugu side.
