Ilechukwu Urges Rangers to Stay Focused in NPFL Title Race

Fidelis Ilechukwu, the coach of Rangers, has urged his players to remain fully focused as they continue their pursuit of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title. This call for concentration follows a significant 2-0 away victory against Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Chidieber Nwobodo opened the scoring for Rangers at the half-hour mark, and Godwin Obaj sealed the result with his 12th goal of the season. Ilechukwu acknowledged the importance of the victory but expressed dissatisfaction with the team's second-half performance, praising the defensive unit for their resilience during a challenging match.

Rangers are targeting their second league title in three seasons, and this win marks their first away victory since January, boosting their title credentials. Currently, Rangers lead the league with 62 points from 36 matches and boast the best defensive record, having conceded only 25 goals.

They will host Bendel Insurance in their next match, while River United, closely trailing, will face Wikki Tourist.
