Davido Plans to Leave Music for Business Ventures

Afrobeats star Davido revealed his intention to leave music soon to concentrate on making billions, responding to Nigerian rapper Erigga's post on X. Erigga praised musicians who come from non-wealthy families and work hard for their success, stating, “Shoutout to all the musicians who don’t come from family money and had to grind for every single dollar they earn.” Davido disagreed with this perspective, asserting that those from wealthy backgrounds can also work hard to achieve success.

He described Erigga's message as “useless motivation” and called him an “imbecile.” In his response, Davido stated, “No worry o I go soon leave their music for una go make my billions… then that shit gonna be boring AF.” He concluded by questioning the desire to live in poverty, asking, “Deep down, who like poverty?”.
