Peter Obi Discusses Reasons for Leaving Political Parties

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and a past presidential candidate for the Labour Party, discussed his reasons for leaving political parties during a visit to a university where he donated 25 million. He stated that his movements are primarily driven by the unstable nature of political groups in Nigeria and the internal problems they face, including ongoing court cases.

Obi highlighted his experiences with the Labour Party and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), noting that he often becomes a target during disputes, which complicates his ability to remain in a party. He emphasized that his political movements are based on principles and called for a stronger internal democracy and better tolerance among party members to build a true democratic system in Nigeria.
