He highlighted his own experiences in leadership, including his time as a military Head of State and civilian President, emphasizing his commitment to progress. Obasanjo criticized the current administration, calling it the worst civil regime in Nigeria's history, particularly faulting President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to address key issues.

However, Buhari's spokesperson dismissed Obasanjo's criticisms as rooted in personal animosity. Obasanjo also criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for inefficiency.

Despite his criticisms, Obasanjo acknowledged his own mistakes and expressed a desire to see Nigeria thrive, reflecting on his service to the country and the lessons learned from its challenges.
