Dickson Claims Superior Qualifications Over Obi, Kwankwaso

Seriake Dickson, the former governor of Bayelsa State, stated in an interview that he is more qualified than Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to contest for the presidency of Nigeria. Although he has decided against pursuing the presidency himself, he emphasized the significant role of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in providing a political platform for Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Dickson argued that neither Obi nor his running mate had paid the required amount for the party's presidential and vice-presidential tickets, suggesting that the NDC should not be seen as merely a platform for Obi. He dismissed reports of a crisis within the NDC regarding Obi's emergence, asserting that the party members are working together without internal conflict.

Dickson criticized the notion that the NDC is in disarray and stated that the party is not obligated to support any candidate who does not contribute financially.
