Abia Governor Otti Stays in Labour Party Amid Peter Obi's Planned Defection

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has affirmed his decision to remain in the Labour Party amidst speculation about Peter Obi's intention to defect. Otti expressed his dedication to helping rebuild the party during a media briefing in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

While acknowledging Obi's plan to leave, Otti highlighted that his political journey differs from Obi's and stressed his loyalty to the Labour Party. He discussed alternative political options arising from efforts to strengthen the party.

Additionally, Otti praised Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, for his support to vulnerable residents during the Christmas period, citing Winston Churchill's quote to emphasize his focus on governance.
