Taraba State to Recruit 550 Health Workers for Reforms

The Taraba State Government, under Governor Agbu Kefas, has approved the recruitment of 550 health personnel to improve secondary healthcare facilities. Dr.

Bodiya Buma, the Commissioner for Health, praised the governor's reforms in the health sector, stating that the recruitment process will be conducted transparently and based strictly on merit. This initiative aims to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state and address existing manpower shortages, particularly among nurses and midwives.

The recruitment exercise will cover all 16 local government areas in Taraba State, with 4,000 applicants vying for the positions. Dr.

Garba Danjuma, the Executive Secretary of the Health Services Management Board, disclosed that the recruitment process will ensure that qualified candidates are selected based on professional competence. The governor's administration remains committed to revitalizing the health sector by modernizing healthcare facilities and providing necessary medical equipment.
