Adebayo Ready to Lead Nigeria, Criticizes Tinubu's Governance

Prince Adewol Adebayo, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), declared his readiness to assume leadership and provide better governance in Nigeria. His statements came in response to the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) announcement regarding the timeline for the 2027 general elections.

Adebayo criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, describing it as historically disastrous, and emphasized the need for credible leadership capable of winning public trust. He urged Nigerians to vote for members of the current National Assembly who do not surrender their sovereignty to any individual.

Adebayo also called for better electoral laws to legitimize the electoral process, while maintaining that political parties should continue preparing for elections despite controversies surrounding the electoral act. He rejected the idea of a broad opposition coalition solely aimed at defeating Tinubu, arguing that previous politicians who held power without reforming the system cannot solve Nigeria's problems.
