Adebayo Advocates for Change in Nigeria's Political Landscape

Prince Adewol Adebayo, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), expressed strong criticism of the current political landscape in Nigeria, particularly the dominance of major parties such as the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP). In an interview, Adebayo rejected claims that the opposition space is shrinking, arguing that true democracy is measured by public sentiment rather than the number of incumbents in office.

He emphasized the need for a shift from personality-driven politics to issue-based engagement, focusing on critical issues such as insecurity, poverty, and healthcare. Adebayo called for a complete overhaul of Nigeria's legislative leadership and advocated for the FixNASS movement, which aims to replace current members of the National Assembly.

He declared his intent to contest in the 2027 presidential elections, aiming to secure a broad mandate from Nigerians. Adebayo criticized the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for weak economic management and lack of inclusivity, urging citizens to actively participate in shaping the country's future.
