Adebayo Critiques APC, Announces 2027 Presidential Bid

Adewale Adebayo, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its governance failures and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for sharing similar origins of inefficiency. In an interview, Adebayo argued that true democracy is defined by public sentiment rather than the number of incumbents in office.

He emphasized the need for a complete overhaul of Nigeria's legislative leadership and called for a shift from personality-driven politics to issue-based engagement, focusing on insecurity and poverty. Adebayo also expressed his intent to contest in the 2027 presidential elections, aiming to secure a broad base mandate from Nigerians.

He criticized the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for weak economic management and lack of inclusive governance, asserting that the performance of the current government will ultimately shape voter decisions in the upcoming elections.
