Femi Fani-Kayode Appointed Nigeria's Ambassador to South Africa

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has been appointed as Nigeria's ambassador to South Africa, marking his return to public service after a two-decade hiatus. He announced this development on his verified X account, revealing that he received a letter of credence to officially assume his diplomatic duties in South Africa, as well as in the Kingdoms of Lesotho and Eswatini.

Fani-Kayode stated that he has secured the required agreement to present his letter of credence on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sola Enikanolaiy, overseeing the process. His formal presentation to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will take place in Pretoria.

Fani-Kayode expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for entrusting him with this diplomatic responsibility and emphasized the honor of serving Nigeria once again.
