Kwankwaso Supports NDC's Southern Presidential Zoning

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former governor of Kano State, expressed his happiness regarding the party's decision to zone the presidential ticket to the south. In an interview on Monday, Kwankwaso stated that this decision is essential for addressing Nigeria's political challenges and ensuring fairness and equity.

He noted that the NDC leadership, including former Bayelsa State governor Seriake Dickson and former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, agreed to maintain the presidency in the south for the next four years before rotating it back to the north. Kwankwaso highlighted that this arrangement is necessary to reduce political tension and maintain a balanced system in Nigeria, especially following the controversies surrounding power rotation linked to the death of former President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.

He emphasized that the decision to zone the presidency to the south is a collective agreement among party members, aimed at eliminating confusion and fostering political stability.
