Imo and Ebonyi States Set to Increase Minimum Wage, NLC Demands Wage Review

Governors of Imo and Ebonyi States, Hope Uzodimma and Francis Nwafiru respectively, have announced plans to increase the minimum wage for workers in their states. Governor Uzodimma raised the state's minimum wage and approved salary adjustments for key sectors, while Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information disclosed a similar wage increase.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Lagos has demanded a new minimum wage citing the rising cost of living. The move is aimed at improving the welfare of workers in the respective states.
