Imo PDP Denies Reports of Member Defections to APC

The Imo State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has officially dismissed reports suggesting that some of its members are defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In a statement signed by spokesperson Mr.

Lancelot Obiaku, the PDP characterized these claims as emanating from a few insignificant individuals described as irrelevant politicians attempting to attract attention to themselves. The party emphasized that genuine members remain loyal and committed across all 305 wards in the 27 local government areas of the state.

Obiaku cautioned the APC to beware of these empty politicians who are merely seeking personal gain. He also highlighted that no true PDP member would join the APC, labeling such reports as fictional.

The PDP remains focused on its upcoming programs, including preparations for the primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections, and recently demonstrated its strength with a successful women’s summit attended by thousands.
