Ex-Imo Deputy Governor Eze Madumere Joins PDP

Eze Madumere, the former Deputy Governor of Imo State, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In his formal declaration, Madumere expressed that his decision was driven by a desire to align with a platform that reflects the aspirations of the people.

He emphasized the need for unity among individuals committed to restoring democratic rights and privileges for citizens, pledging to empower youth and promote transparent governance. Madumere described this move as a turning point in his political journey, following extensive consultations with family, political associates, and mentors.

He acknowledged the opportunities provided by the APC during his tenure but attributed his exit to internal conflicts within the party and a perceived loss of ideological direction, as well as a disregard for loyal members in the state.
