Kwankwasiyya Movement Denounces Political Impeachment Move

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has asserted that the impeachment move against Kano Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo is politically motivated. In a statement issued on Friday by spokesperson Habibu Saleh, the movement described the unfolding developments as worrying and urged political actors in the state to refrain from actions that may seem politically motivated.

Saleh warned that using impeachment as a tool to settle political disagreements could exacerbate political divisions within the state. He emphasized that the current leadership should focus on the collective efforts and sacrifices made by thousands of Kwankwasiyya supporters across Kano State.

The movement called on members of the Kano State House of Assembly to carry out their constitutional duties independently and fairly, maintaining a strong sense of responsibility towards the people. The Kwankwasiyya Movement remains committed to peace, democracy, stability, and protecting the political mandate given to the current administration by the people of Kano.
