Zainabu Bagudu Advocates for Improved Security in National Cancer Control Efforts

Former First Lady of Kebbi State, Zainabu Bagudu, emphasized the crucial role of improved security in advancing national cancer control efforts during an awareness lecture organized by the National Institute for Security Studies. Bagudu highlighted the importance of effective security policing in providing a conducive environment for cancer sensitization and prevention.

She addressed security personnel at the Executive Intelligence Management Course 18, stressing the need to counter myths and safeguard medical supply chains to prevent diversion of cancer medicines and vaccines. The event, attended by participants from six African countries, aimed to address the global health crisis of cancer, which causes nearly 10 million deaths annually.
