Atiku Abubakar Meets Hayatu-Deen for Party Reconciliation

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), held a closed-door meeting with Moham Hayatu-Deen in Lagos as part of ongoing reconciliation efforts following the recent presidential primary elections. This meeting follows a previous encounter with Chibuike Amaechi, another close rival in the primaries.

Both Hayatu-Deen and Amaechi had expressed dissatisfaction with the primary results, alleging manipulation of the voting process. Hayatu-Deen did not attend the announcement of the results, and Amaechi was absent from the ceremony.

Atiku appealed to aggrieved aspirants and party members to put aside their grievances and work together for the party's success in the upcoming 2027 general elections. He emphasized that the outcome of the primaries should not divide the party and called for unity among all members, including an invitation to Chief Rotimi Amaechi and Alhaji Muhammad Hayatu-Deen to join efforts in strengthening democracy in the country.
