NACA Urges Religious Leaders in Bauchi to Include HIV/AIDS Education in Sermons

The National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) is calling on religious leaders in Bauchi State, including Christian and Islamic leaders, to integrate HIV/AIDS education into their sermons. Tobia John, the North East Zonal Coordinator of NACA, emphasized the importance of using the pulpit to educate congregations about HIV/AIDS prevention and dispel myths.

The goal is to enhance the knowledge of religious leaders on HIV/AIDS to strengthen their role in combating the epidemic and supporting the 2030 goal to end AIDS. The initiative aims to address stigma, discrimination, and misinformation surrounding HIV/AIDS.
