India Beats Nigeria to Host 2030 Commonwealth Games

India has been confirmed as the host of the 2030 Commonwealth Games, triumphing over Nigeria in the bid process. Ahmedabad in the western state of Gujarat will be the host city, boasting impressive modern infrastructure, including the Narendra Modi Stadium.

This marks India's return to hosting the games after Delhi in 2010. Nigeria's loss means Africa's long wait to host the Commonwealth Games continues.

Despite strong political support, Nigeria's bid to host the games in Abuja was unsuccessful, marking the second time the country has lost the bid.
