Nigeria, India Vie to Host 2030 Commonwealth Games - Historic Bidding War

Nigeria and India are competing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, with Abuja and Ahmadabad proposed as potential host cities. The Commonwealth Sport President confirmed the submissions, with evaluation ongoing by a commission led by Sandra Osborne.

The final decision, expected in November, will be made during the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly in Glasgow. Nigeria aims to host the Games for the first time in Africa, having previously made unsuccessful bids.

India, having hosted the Games in 2010, is vying for a second opportunity. The competition signifies a milestone for both countries, with the potential to showcase their capabilities on an international sporting stage.
