Ahmedabad Beats Abuja for 2030 Commonwealth Games Hosting

Ahmedabad in India has been selected over Abuja in Nigeria to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, with Nigeria now aiming for the 2034 bid. This decision comes after a thorough evaluation by the Commonwealth Games Federation, disappointing Nigeria which had previously lost the bid in 2007.

The prestigious games are expected to be ratified during the Commonwealth Games Federation's General Assembly in Glasgow on November 26. Ahmedabad's impressive infrastructure, including the Narendra Modi Stadium, played a significant role in securing the hosting rights.
