Nigeria Unveils Bid to Host 2030 Commonwealth Games for Unity and Legacy

Nigeria unveiled ambitious plans to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games, aiming to strengthen its bid for the centenary event. The proposal was presented to the Commonwealth Games Federation in London by a delegation led by Mallam Shehu Dikko and Hon Bukola Olopade.

The bid focuses on promoting sport excellence, cultural exchange, and leveraging the creative economy to create a lasting legacy. Nigeria's bid aims to celebrate Commonwealth values, shape the future for African youth, and promote equality and unity through sports.

If successful, the Abuja 2030 Games would mark a historic moment as Africa's first time hosting the Commonwealth Games.
