INEC Rejects 157 Associations in Party Registration Process, 14 Progress

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) disclosed that out of 171 associations that applied to register as political parties, only 14 met the requirements for further consideration. INEC listed the successful associations, including African Transformation Party and Democratic Alliance, while the others failed to meet the criteria.

The 14 associations are now invited for the next stage of the registration process. This development highlights the stringent registration standards set by INEC to ensure only qualified parties participate in Nigeria's political landscape.
