NNPP's Ogini Accuses INEC Chairman Amupitan of Incompetence

Sundai Ogini, the factional scribe of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), publicly accused the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan, of incompetence during an interview on Wednesday.

Ogini's claims were based on a legal interpretation that suggested Amupitan's management of the commission could undermine Nigeria's democracy. He referenced a court ruling that determined Amupitan was not competent, which he argued would have detrimental effects on the electoral process.

Ogini emphasized the importance of securing valid court judgments to affirm the leadership of the NNPP, which is currently led by Bito Abu. He stated that the leadership tussle within the party necessitates a clear understanding of the legal framework, suggesting that Amupitan's incompetence could lead to significant issues in the electoral landscape.
