INEC Clears 14 Groups for Political Party Registration - Full List

INEC has cleared 14 out of 171 groups that applied for registration as political parties, rejecting 157 in Nigeria. The decision was made during a regular meeting where preparations for upcoming elections were reviewed.

The cleared associations will proceed to the next phase of the registration process. INEC emphasized that passing the initial stage does not guarantee final registration.

The commission will notify the applicants of their decision within 24 hours. Among the groups that scaled the first hurdle are the African Transformation Party, Democratic Alliance, and Advance Nigeria Congress.

The process aims to ensure a transparent and inclusive political landscape ahead of the November governorship poll and FCT Area Council election.
