INEC Promotes 2,339 Personnel in Major Restructuring

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the promotion of 2,339 personnel as part of its 2025 senior staff promotion exercise, underscoring its commitment to career progression within the organization. This decision was made during a meeting held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, and was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja.

Among those promoted, 82 individuals, including Mr. Victoria Eta Messi, have been elevated to director positions, advancing from grade levels 14 and 15 to levels 15 and 16.

Additionally, 91 assistant directors have been promoted to the rank of deputy director, while 45 deputy directors have been elevated to director status. The promotion exercise also affects 2,121 intermediate officers across various departments, adhering to established guidelines and public service rules.

INEC emphasized the importance of rewarding merit and dedication, urging newly promoted officials to commit to professional integrity and impartial service in their responsibilities.
