Ezekwesili Challenges INEC's Credibility and Leadership

Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister, publicly expressed her skepticism regarding the promises made by Amupitan, stating that she told him directly that she does not believe in what he promises. Speaking through a post, Ezekwesili raised concerns about the credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and lamented that individuals entrusted with overseeing elections do not act in the public interest.

She criticized Nigeria's political leadership and called on citizens to take greater responsibility to improve governance and electoral integrity. Ezekwesili questioned the quality of leadership across key institutions, including the National Assembly, the executive arm of government, and INEC.

She expressed concern over the lack of commitment to public service among political actors and urged Nigerians to reflect on their role in shaping the country's future. Ezekwesili warned that continued inaction by citizens emboldens leaders who undermine national progress.
