INEC Denies Inflated Voter Registration Claims in Southwest, Osun State Leads in Registrations

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted claims by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of inflated voter registration figures in the Southwest region. INEC announced that over a million Nigerians have completed online registration within the first week of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, with Osun State leading in registrations.

The Chief Press Secretary of INEC Chairman dismissed the allegations, stating that the registration figures align with historical patterns and demographic realities. The INEC spokesperson emphasized that the registration trend in Osun State has been consistent with past exercises.
