INEC Restores David Mark as ADC National Chairman

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially restored David Mark as the national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), confirming the leadership details on its website. Alongside Mark, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has been reinstated as the national secretary, with Dr.

Mani Ahmad as national treasurer, Akibu Dalhatu as national financial secretary, and Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor as the party's national legal adviser.

This reinstatement follows a Supreme Court ruling that voided a previous court appeal, which had directed the removal of Mark's name from INEC's portal. The court maintained that the legal proceedings against Mark's leadership were unnecessary and unsustainable.

The ruling represents a significant victory for Mark's faction, as it restores his leadership and stabilizes the party, although a main suit challenging the validity of the leadership remains pending in the Federal High Court.
