INEC Prepares for Anambra Governorship Election with 5,718 Polling Units

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is preparing for the Anambra State governorship election on November 8, 2025, with 5,718 polling units established. Dr.

Kenneth Ikeagu, the INEC Chairman for Anambra, confirmed the readiness for the election, with 24,000 ad hoc personnel deployed and logistics in place. Sensitization materials have been distributed, and agreements with transport unions for material movement have been signed.

The commission conducted a successful mock accreditation exercise, urging collaboration with security agencies and reminding voters to collect their PVCs.
