INEC to Display Voter Register in Plateau State Soon

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the display of the preliminary register of voters in Plateau State from October 9 to 15, 2026. This initiative is part of the electoral process leading up to the 2027 general elections, allowing registered voters to verify their details, make claims and objections, and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The exercise will take place in all 207 Registration Areas in the state daily from 9 am to 3 pm. Prof. Sam Egwu, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Plateau State, stated that this display aligns with Section 19(1) of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates the display of the voter register at least 90 days before a general election.
Voters are encouraged to check their names, photographs, dates of birth, and polling units for accuracy. Additionally, PVCs from the first phase of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise conducted between August 18 and December 10, 2025, will be available for collection during this period.
