The team's medical staff raised concerns about Ogbu's condition following training in Lisbon on Saturday, ahead of their international friendly match against Portugal on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles' media office confirmed that Ogbu will not return to Slavia Prague as previously reported and will instead have the scan conducted in Lisbon. The team trained with 22 players on Sunday, following a recent match where they secured a last-gasp draw against Poland, ending 2-2.

Portugal, who recently defeated Chile 2-1, is preparing for the World Cup, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the team. The friendly match against Portugal will be a significant test for the Super Eagles as they continue their preparations.
