Nigerian Labour Congress Protests Against Insecurity in Abuja

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) under the leadership of General Secretary Benson Upah organized a protest in Abuja to rally against the increasing insecurity in Nigeria. The NLC called for immediate and sustained government action to address the surge in attacks, kidnappings, and killings in schools, worship centers, and other places across the country.

The protest involved workers, civil society allies, and various organizations across Nigeria. Upah cited the National Executive Council's resolution and warned of potential disruptions by infiltrators.

The NLC emphasized the need for legitimate responses to the reign of terror and demanded the government to prioritize the safety and security of all citizens.
