Nigerian Soldiers Quell Communal Clashes in Benue State, Recover Weapons

Nigerian soldiers intervened to restore peace in Benue State following violent communal clashes between Ugamb and Mbaias communities in Konshisha and Gwer East Local Government Areas. The clashes escalated when troops responded to distress calls, engaging hostile armed men.

Three individuals were killed, several injured, and weapons and ammunition were recovered. The Nigerian Army, led by Maj Gen Mose Gara, commended the troops' swift action and urged community leaders to embrace dialogue for lasting peace.
