The Labour Party criticized President Bola Tinubu for traveling to Europe amid Nigeria's escalating insecurity crisis, labeling it as insensitive. Nenadi Usman, the party's acting national chairman, accused Tinubu of lacking empathy for Nigerians facing violent attacks and humanitarian crises.

Tinubu's departure from the country comes at a time when security challenges, such as a bomb explosion in Zamfara that killed nine people, are on the rise. The President's trip to Europe precedes an official visit to Abu Dhabi for the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit.
